The Power of Waiting

Understanding Frustration and Patience

Sometimes, we feel frustrated when the universe doesn’t give us immediate answers.

We crave a response now and often wonder why it isn’t forthcoming.

This impatience can create tension in our bodies, elevating cortisol levels and clouding our minds.

Instead of having the mental space to think clearly, everything becomes foggy and cluttered.

In my work with interior design (the body), I often discuss how our physical space communicates how we and others interact within it.

Similarly, how we set up our internal environment impacts our mental and emotional well-being.

Reflecting on Your Internal Environment

Ask yourself:

- In your own body, do you feel hostile or comfortable?
- Do you trust yourself?
- Do you shut down under pressure?
- Are you trying to be someone you are not?

Imagine that you are fully supported and that the universe and a higher power are working in ways that facilitate the development of your highest self and a confident state of being.

If you knew you would eventually get what you want, it’s just a matter of time, what would you do with the time you have until you receive it?

The Pitfall of Obsession

For many people, the obsession with getting their way overrides their ability to relax and be present in the moment. They are so focused on chasing their desires that they forget to put in the necessary effort or to relax into the space where they can receive and welcome what they need.

This reflects our relationship with intimacy.

Much like shopping on Amazon, we can become obsessed with scrolling and looking for the next thing to buy even before the last box has arrived and been opened.

Cultivating a Rich Internal Soil

Consider the metaphor of soil:

Soil> Energy and Emotion — The movement.

Seeds> The Physical Action — The method.

  • How rich is your soil?

  • What are you providing to enrich it? Energy, passion, and other nutrients for growth.

  • What are you planting? Thoughts, processes, and the physical actions you take.

The thing we always control is how and if we honor our internal process. To cultivate a rich internal soil, we must provide the right nutrients and plant the right seeds. This involves not only our thoughts and actions but also our ability to wait and trust in the process.

Embracing the Power of Waiting

Waiting isn’t passive; it’s an active, dynamic state that involves patience, trust, and preparation.

It’s about creating a fertile ground within yourself so that when the time comes, you are ready to receive what you desire. Here are some steps to embrace the power of waiting:

1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: It’s normal to feel frustrated when answers don’t come immediately. Recognize these feelings without judgment.
2. Create Space: Just as you would design a calm and welcoming space in your home, create a mental and emotional space that is conducive to receiving clarity and insight.
3. Trust the Process: Believe that the universe is working in your favor and that answers will come when the time is right.
4. Focus on Growth: Use the waiting period to focus on personal growth and self-improvement. Enrich your internal soil with positive thoughts, learning, and self-care.
5. Stay Present: Rather than obsessing over the outcome, stay present and engaged with your current activities. Enjoy the journey instead of just fixating on the destination.

Conclusion:

The Gift of Patience

By shifting your perspective on waiting, you transform it from a source of frustration into a period of growth and preparation.

Trust that everything will come to you in due time and focus on nurturing your internal environment.

This approach not only reduces stress and anxiety but also aligns you with a higher frequency, fostering confidence and resilience.

Remember, the power of waiting lies in your ability to honor your internal process and trust that the universe is orchestrating your journey toward your highest potential.
